AND then we got to the park.....
It's been three or four times now that we have been lucky enough to share Disneyland Park with the Ruchti's. And without fail, the week was a success. Did that even make sense??? Well, you know what I meant. We had a great time! I think the pictures speak for themselves. Hitting Disneyland in the off season is the greatest advice I can give anyone planning a trip with the family. There are no lines, less stress, and the opportunity for your kids to be picked out of the crowd for different activities(Jedi Training, street perfromances, etc.). We definitely hit every ride we were interested in going on; some of them twice, three times, or more!
It did rain for awhile the first day. But we came prepared this year. We bought our own $1 ponchos instead of paying $8 for a disneyland one. But don't take that comment as though we ACTUALLY bought a disneyland parka in the past. Oh no...we soaked instead. But now the memory is funny...hilarious actually.
The new experience of Star Tours was definitely on my HIT list. It was great fun.
But Tower of Terror will always be a strong favorite. That falling motion gets me everytime! The boys love it too. Madelyn, not so much. But I have to give her kudos...later in the week she kicked in some major bravery and road the ride.
Thunder Mountain is Justin's favorite. Later in the week the train broke down while most of the family were on it. Luckily they were close to the end so it was a quick exit for them. The other train full of passengers was halfway up one of the mountains...they got off easily too.
The Pirate's Lair(Tom Sawyers Adventure Island) is amazing! So much fun for the kids to explore and use their own imaginations.
We celebrated a birthday for I think the third time in Disneyland. Happy Birthday to Brent. The big THREE FOUR.
Yes...you can even find a place to color at disneyland!
Jedi Training has become a staple every time we go. But we are the Bushman's! All three of the kids got the opportunity. And all of Cynthia's as well.
Always a good time to be at the happiest place on earth with the Ruchti's. We missed Don and Karen this year but we'll just plan for two years down the road...because I think all of us are convinced that it will be an every two year event.
So here is the open invitation...FEBRUARY 2014!!!
No growth in the comfort zone!
