SUMMER TRIP 2010

And so it has began. Our LOOOOOOOOONG journey back to my hometown. So far, so great! We made great time the first day, stopping in St. George, UT for the night. Then moved on the next morning to American Fork, UT, home of the Ruchti's!
We had a great time! The kids didn't stop playing until I strapped them in their seatbelts the next afternoon.
It was a great surprise to see almost all of Brent's siblings - just by luck I happened upon the last family get together before Brandon left for Argentina. Good times!!

Jody and Kathy, Wayne, and Cynthia
Brandon is always such a trooper...the kids love him and he eats it up! He played with them until the sun went down. And I'm pretty sure the smile NEVER left his face. Good Luck on your mission Brandon! You will be one fantastic missionary!!!
Brian stayed in Melinda's arms for a good 10 minutes without moving - loves his Aunt Melinda
We'll take another pic just like this when he gets home so we can see the difference in all of them.

And then it was back to American Fork to the FORT...

And the inevitable...
It's no fun to be sick on vacation. There is no way it had anything to do with the three hamburger kids meals with fries and "pop" from the last two days....no way ;)

None the less...onward to Grandma and Grandpa Rigby's
We've played legos ALOT in just two days! And have come up with some pretty creative settings...
grandpa's PRIZED greenhouse
always willing to let the kids "help" with the work. They learn a lot with grandpa
Brian has a new favorite lookout. Mom, Jeff, Micah, and Dad built a bar and a couple of shelve and table areas over the fourth of July weekend. Brian has been sitting looking out the window constantly. It's cute.
Luck had it that we got to see the Pocatello Bushmans...
The kids think uncle Michael is the coolest EVER!
Misti is literally days away from delivery! Good luck!

So far on my trip of four days I have seen all of Brent's siblings and most of their spouses and family members. And, of course, my parents. The next couple of days have a lot of plans set...we'll see how it goes.

  1. Looks like you're having a great trip with family. Hope Madelyn feels better.

Misty is one amazing woman - I don't know how she does it!
