MORE VACATION....

And our trip continues in Soda Springs. We had so much fun with Grandma and Grandpa. Every minute was planned with something perfect. And I mean EVERY minute... hehe! And that is what the kids love so much about visiting Grandma and Grandpa Rigby.
We started off a day with touching up the outside furniture and tree house. The kids worked a lot harder and LONGER than I thought they would have interest in. But they finished the project....
have to sand first, then paint..

We had magic shows and play performances...

And sewing projects. I'm not a sewer but my mom graciously helped me learn how to make the cutest bags!I almost bowed out after she made the pattern and explained all the steps. My head was SWIMMING with information - turn this, tuck that, the seam is this wide and that wide...ahhhhh. But I am so glad I did it. It did take me somewhere in the neighborhood of four hours to finish but the key word is that I FINISHED!!!

Madelyn had her own project that she worked on. She painted blocks and then put a letter of her name on each one. Turned out cute!!

While we crafted the boys had a movie night. This is the boys totally into the movie...
This is grandpa totally into his nap... :)

We did a lot of playing and posing as well. I just get so camera happy some times....

My dad is putting a new roof on this year so, of course, the kids had to "help"...more like "can I stand on the ladder and hold the drill so mom can take a picture"...

And it looked like so much fun that us ladies decided to get up there too. Note to anyone that wants to take a picture on a plank of wood supported by two ladders - don't shimmy your way across the board! I was pulling slivers out of my hind end all night!!

Dad's never stopping, mostly reliable, money guzzling '70 Chevy... Its part of the family

Is there a better way to end a day full of fun than with ICE CREAM!!! No way!!!

I still have a PLETHORA of pics to post so stay tuned!!!

  1. There's nothing better than spending time with Grandma and Grandpa - looks like you had a great time!

I could really relate to your comments about sewing! Whenever I'm with my mom, things go smoothly and I think, yeah, I can do this. Then, I try it on my own and want to pull out my hair!! Way cute purse - good job!
