HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

This year marks Brent's SEVENTH Father's Day. He's been a father for SEVEN years! Crazy! What's even crazier than that...we've only been married for EIGHT years! For six months of our marriage we were NEWLYWEDS!!! And then we got pregnant! I remember I was VERY pregnant at our one year anniversary.

But the years as a Father and a Mother have been great! Madelyn, Marcus, and Brian are such divine spirits. They are truly a blessing. Are they perfect....no. But are they darn close....not really. But they ARE good kids. They have contagious smiles and laughter. They have soft hearts. Their enjoyment for learning is fun to witness.

The kids look up to their dad. They think he is the "funnest". They love when dad comes home from work and all fight for his attention...sometimes literally. They love playing tickle monster with him, karate, light sabers, and games: Dora Scrabble, Stare, Connect 4, etc, etc, etc. Marcus always pulls his tool box out when dad is working on a project. Brian is his ultimate shadow. Madelyn thinks the world of her dad.

"What's your favorite thing to do with daddy?"

Brian...."ummmm, ummmm...play in the pool....color!"

Madelyn...."swim, play Uno, and stories before bed."

Marcus...."Swim and play the WII!"

Started out the morning with gifts...

Madelyn got him some Dolce and Gabbana LIGHT BLUE

after Brian wripped through the gift....

Brian got him an IPOD dock

Brent loves to play racketball so Marcus got him a new racket and some balls to play with....

Breakfast, gifts, church, a little family swim time, and some yummy summer dinner. Topped off with cookies and ice cream for dessert.

Brent works hard at work; he's very successful. I don't think that is a secret and I don't think we try to keep it a secret. He truly is gifted at what he does. But it doesn't stop there. He loves being with his kids. He plays with them and tries to do everything he can to make them happy. And for that they are the luckiest kids! So....
