ADNOID FREE...TUBES IN

Well, its official...Madelyn is now adnoid free and both ears have tubes...again. The doctor said that her left ear was like suction cupped in because there was so much fluid sucking it in. And the right ear was like it had rubber cement behind it because of all the fluid and gunk...I don't know the terms. Anyway...long story short - she should hear sooooo much better now! Yay!!!!!

On a side note - she can't swim for a week. SHE'S A FISH!! How do you tell a fish she can't swim? But she is willing to comply. I think it's killing me just as much as it is her and it's only been ONE DAY! Next THURSDAY, BABY!

Regional Medical Center
Madelyn did a fine job modeling her gown, didn't she
NO MEDAL JEWLERY were the rules. So they gave her some surgery approved PLASTIC jewlery
Right before her procedure...and yes, we still have the blue cap-everyone has tried it on
I shouldn't laugh, but she was sooooo out of it when we went back to meet her. Totally disoriented, tired, and, frankly, quite the diva - she was very demanding - "water, tissue, cover my feet"...I don't even think she was coherant enough to know which made it more funny than anything.

All in all, happy with the way they treated us at the surgery center, happy that my daughter will now be able to hear when people are talking to her, and happy that my daughter is having an easy recovery.

  1. Glad it all went okay for her and you! I've always been nervous during surgery for my kids and I'm always glad when it's over! Good luck on a swim free week!
