Our visit started at IKEA. I just really like IKEA. I don't necessarily have to buy a lot, but I always do find odd things to buy. I just like walking around, eating their food, and oh, yeah...the DAYCARE IS AWESOME!! My kids actually enjoyed themselves.
Then came checking into the hotel...we pricelined a hotel and got it for $45!! Can't beat that - regularly it was $100. ALWAYS PRICELINE!! We had awhile before dinnertime so ideas were the beach or a park....too much traffic to go to beach so we decided on a fantastic Memorial Park....OOOPS! not the kind of park we thought it was...."I see dead people"...haha! Finally we found a park and enjoyed the evening playing.
Isabella was the captain of her ship while daddy worked...oops, caught ya!!!
These climbing things! I hate them. They are a broken tooth or arm waiting to happen. But the kids love them and somehow survive!
Hello Grandpa Noah!!
Then off to dinner...FUDDRUCKERS...YUM
Of course, we can't stay in a hotel without swimming. But the pool was FREEZING so we hung out in the hot tub.Saturday was fun. We leisurely got up and ready, enjoyed a fantastic CONTINENTAL breakfast, eggs, sausage, cereal, fruit, waffles, oatmeal, muffins, toast/bagels, juice...Then headed to the MIDWAY. Its an old Navy ship. The kids had fun getting into the cockpits of airplanes, touring the ship, and just being free to run around. Madelyn was a bit nervous being "in the water" and Bella might have been a bit tired from the vacation as a whole...but they had fun.
everyone knows this famous photo
We had some extra time to take cute photos of the kids
The tour was good. Marcus loved it, Brian liked it, and the rest of the kids were indifferent. Don and Ann had never been inside a carrier like that so it was a fun experience for them.
Next was lunch at McDonalds - BLAHHHHHHHH!!! But the kids had fun. Oh, and us adults went next door and got some Arby's.
Then the moment Brent had been waiting for.... THE BEACH!!! And that is where we stayed the remainder of our trip in San Diego. It was a bit chilly and windy, but it was so peaceful. My role at the beach - sit in chair and relax, feed kids and take pictures. Brent's role at the beach - play with kids making sand castles, playing in water, etc. And we BOTH love our roles!!
By the end the kids were exhausted...and so were the mommies and daddies.
It was sad once again to say goodbye to Ann, Don, Isabella, and Noah. But we'll see you in a few weeks!! YAY!!

Wow! That looks like a lot of fun and nice and warm! It FINALLY started warming up a bit here. We can all ride our bikes again - YAY!
