I think it is safe to say that we all have a family member or know a friend that has fought, won, lost, and battled Breast cancer...or cancer of any kind.
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month. Take a little extra time to encourage those around you fighting the disease. Send them a card, give them a hug, or remember them in your prayers.
I want to take a moment to publicly thank my Grandmother for being a fighter of the ultimate fight. She is strong, confident, and an inspiration to all around her. Though her body is making the sacrifice needed to fight the disease, she is continually exercising, attending regular temple sessions, going to lunch with friends, completing her visiting teaching, and being a friend to all around her. She is a fighter...and thus far, a SURVIVOR.
But she is more than that...she is my grandmother, the mother of my mother, and the great grandmother to my children, and most importantly an honorable daughter of God.
We love you GRANDMA!!!
