BIKE RODEO 2011

The kids' school had their annual Bike Rodeo last week. It's a chance for parent's to have their kids' bikes and helmets inspected for safety, get additional safety tips, and the kids run a course to show off their bicycle abilities. 

Of course the Gator showed up for school spirit!!

Marcus ran his course perfectly. He's been riding a two-wheeler since he was 2 1/2(remember that crazy day Boise friends..) They had four stations; ride in between two straight lines, ride in between two straight lines that were closer together, in and out of cones, and outline a circle. 

 Every participant received a ribbon, treat, and water. 

Madelyn ran her course perfectly too :) She's been riding a two-wheeler for more than half her life now so I didn't expect it to be a problem.

Brian felt a little jipped that he didn't get to participate. So we came home and created his own rodeo with the same obstacles(we drew it with chalk). He won!! lol

I am impressed with how the kids' school has tons of opportunities for the kids to stay active. And it turned out pretty fun to watch...mainly because the kids' were having fun. Until next years rodeo...
